Session Details:
Outdoor Sessions:
These are my preferred sessions as natural light is so beautiful to work with. I can travel to your destination of choice. It could be a great scenic park or lake, or a fun urban shoot in Cedar Rapids. My sessions are carefree and fun. I want to capture you and your children in your natural state. The point is to relax and have a great time and the images will be perfect. If you are unsure of where you would like to do your photo shoot, I have some great places to recommend. I am sure we can find a terrific spot not too far from your home.
Indoor Sessions:
During the colder seasons, I do most my sessions at my home studio in Cedar Rapids. Newborns and young babies can come to the studio year round.
Newborns:
Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 12 days. They are the sleepiest and most posable during this time. This leaves plenty of time for diaper changes, cuddles and feedings. I will make sure to keep this session as stress-free as possible for you and your baby. I will pencil in your due date and once your baby is born we can schedule a date.
Photobooth Sessions:
These are a lot of fun! We can take our Photo Booth setup to your location, call or email for requests.
Session timing;
Most family and kiddos sessions usually run about 1 hour long. Newborns can take up to 2 hours, because they run the show.
What to Wear:
I recommend that you wear something comfortable yet stylish. For family portraits make sure that everyone coordinates, but also shows their individual personality. Stay away from logos and busy patterns, but a pop of color can add visual interest to your photo. Think about where you will be placing your photos and what colors would look best in that room. I am always happy to give wardrobe suggestions if needed.
